“Nights of Albanian Cinema” in Athens!

Celebrating “Albanian November” with the “Nights of Albanian Cinema” in Athens!

The Embassy of Albania in Athens is pleased to invite you to a special cinematic event, the “Nights of Albanian Cinema,” on November 11th and 14th, 2024, at 19:00. This is a rare opportunity to experience Albanian cinema and immerse yourself in two cinematic masterpieces that reflect the power of art and history.

The film program includes:

“𝐆𝐣𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐧𝐢” (1978), directed by Viktor Gjika.
A restored masterpiece of Albanian cinema, making its debut in Athens! The film tells the story of resistance, music, and the Albanian soul. Duration 112 minutes.

“𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐤𝐚 𝐝𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐤𝐞̈𝐭 𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐣” (1977), directed by Xhanfize Keko.
A moving tale of the friendship and courage of Albanian children facing occupation. The film takes us on a journey back in time, evoking the innocent dreams and hopes of a generation. Duration 80 minutes.

The screenings will feature English subtitles, making this event accessible to both Albanian and international audiences.
