The project “Creative Europe – Opera out of Opera” during the days 17 & 18 of May, will be hosted in Athens, at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, for it’s third creative meeting. It is a co-financed acting of the project “Creative Europe”, having as coefficients the music Academy of Santa Secilia in Rome, Mozarteum – music university of Salzburg (the homeland of Mozart), Navara Opera (OCN) in Pamplona – Spain, the cultural company “Art – on”(PODM) in Greece and “AEC MUSIC” company in Brussels.
The final outcome of the project is the promotion and formation of the young audience for Opera. The highlight of the project will be the cooperative creation of an opera performance, which will be presented in Rome and in Athens in September 2019, and in Salzburg and Pamplona during March of 2019.
It shall be noted that in all 4 cities, at the same time, events will be held in public places (airports, metro stations, squares, parks etc.), and that all 4 performances will be presented in non-theatrical places.
Responsible for the project held in Greece is the director Vasilis Anastasiou, executive of the greek participation and official director of the final performance and director Tania Kitsou, responsible for the research part of the project.
