The play is based on the homonym ethnographic and psychological novel by
Georgios Vizyinos. The autobiographical element of the book is obvious
and the story narrates the vain attempt of authors mother in order to
save her little daughter from dying.

between humans and their ideals. It deals with the painful journey for
the replacement of the personal myth with our simple self. Hence, the
play is a subjective analysis of Don Quixote that gives a depth to the
great novel by Cervantes.
