Foregoes a preparation – briefing Open Meeting for the Master Class that follows, in presence of Randal Kleiser, on Sunday, the 19th of February 2012, at 12:00 with admission free of charge. The meeting is going to be moderated by the film critic, Giannis Zoumboulakis.

Randal Kleiser, enthusiast himself of the Greek culture, chooses to visit our country, responding to the invitation addressed by the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, during not an accidental period, ready to contribute with his esteem to the development and promotion of the contemporary artistic production of our country. As a first step, he will meet Greek actors, filmmakers as well as young students sharing with them knowledge, experiences and practices based on the acting method by Nina Foch. Along with the multi-awarded director and producer George Lucas (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, American Graffiti etc.) undertook the production of the DVD Nina Foch Course for Filmmakers and Actors aiming to the regulation as well as the promotion of the work and the technique by the great acting trainer, Nina Foch.

Nina Foch Course
The Course was developed by Ms. Foch from her study with Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler and Uta Hagen, combined with her experiences being directed by such icons as Vincente Minnelli, Stanley Kubrick, Robert Wise, Otto Preminger, Blake Edwards and Cecil B. DeMille.

For 40 years, at USC and The American Film Institute, she taught a generation of filmmakers including John McTiernan, Amy Heckerling, Ed Zwick, and Ron Underwood. Culled from over 200 hours of footage, this two set DVD puts the viewer right in her classroom and will appeal to students of directing, acting, and writing, as well as professionals who want to use it as a basic resource. It is also an invaluable aid to anyone engaged in public performance, whether in the workplace, the courtroom or at a speaking engagement.

Its impossible to categorize the Nina Foch Course as being for any particular group. Is it for directors? Absolutely. For actors? Yes. But its equally valuable for writers, editors, producers, and anyone with more than a passing interest in the art and craft of filmmaking. This material can be used for an entire course, as part of a course, or a rich reference source to immerse yourself in your craft.
