2nd Low Budget Festival: The Theatres future, today

Follow the young theatre people because those are its future, Lakis Lazopoulos highlights, referring to the artists participating in the 2nd Low Budget Festival and this encouragement clarifies, completely, the artistic style of the theatrical month we are about to experience at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation from November 21st to December 20th. Well, the theatres future, today, with 10 new productions and 30 performances, along with the creative teams of young generation, already renowned, to join their forces for a common effort: to make art of low budget but high standards.

It looks like a challenge, however, its successful result, in this years 2nd, already, organizing of Low Budget Festival by the partners of tospirto.net, is something more than prescribed. The experience, the taste we all have from the last years premiere of the festival, proved that the true theatre art can come to fruition without superfluous makeup. With remarkable results already accomplished, performances which have been created only with the primary means but managed to shape their own path of success, as the Festivals Artistic Creator, Anna Vlavianou, highlights, the Low Budget Festival, sculpted to overcome the odds of our times, promises to offer space to the young artists work, ignoring the usual hurdles.

We should then just follow the forward steps of young artists and support their interesting attempt. We should hear the hopeful messages and reflect, afresh, on their concerns; we should finally experience the theatre’s future today.
