Breath: The short plays of Samuel Beckett in one performance
OmIcrOn 2, a Company for the Arts
Meet Samuel Beckett through his short plays, but for the first time, in one performance, in favor of the modern and subversive approach of significant, in their fields, contributors. Stavros Tsakiris presents the theatrical play Breath in new translation Dimitra Petropoulou, from Saturday 10 December and only for a limited number of performances, at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.
Along with him, Yannis Metzikof creates costumes and Eleftheria Deko lightings, while the performance is being settled on visual installations by young artists like, Antonis Volanakis, Yannis Diamantis, Eleftheria Deko and Alexandros Psichoulis.
As the director himself highlights, Breath is a text, in which, through a moving image and two sounds, Beckett compressed not only his philosophy, but also his total theatre universe. This short play composes the canvas for the performance Breath, while the other short plays of Samuel Beckett are being developed with the same speculation, like concentric circles.
