Panorama of European Cinema festival and Francis Ford Coppola at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation

After 21 years of common course with the newspaper Eleftherotipia, the Panorama of European Cinema festival turns page. For the first time, it is organized by the City of Athens Cultural Organisation (PODA), while part of it will be hosted at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, as the Art Director of Panorama festival Mr. Ninos Fenek Mikelidis announced at the Press Conference held on 14/10/2009 at the Municipality of Athens. Keynote speakers were also the Mayor, Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis, as well as the President of the City of Athens Cultural Organisation, Mr. Angelos Moschonas.

During the 11 days that he Panorama will last and having always in focus the achievements and the promotion of the European cinema, more than 100 films produced in Europe and elsewhere, will be presented at Edeal Cinema (22/10 1/11), Trianon Filmcenter (22/10 28/10)as well as at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation (24/10 31/10). Whats more, on Friday, October 30, Francis Ford Coppola will give a master class at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.

Again, an exhibition of photographs and posters since 1962 dedicated to Cypriot cinema, will be held at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.
