Rejection Vol.2 – Dirty Granny Tales

Rejection Vol.2 – Dirty Granny Tales

The performance “Rejection”, widely considered the best yet to be presented by Dirty Granny Tales, is to be staged, in a fashion never yet seen before, at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.

The Dirty Granny Tales are here to tell their story in a way they had never dared before, lending it an entirely new dimension. The play is inspired by the life of the serial killer, Ed Gein, a life which has been the stimulus for the creation of a number of murderous characters in literature and film, such as Norman Bates in Robert Bloch’s Psycho, adapted for the screen by Alfred Hitchcock and the character Leatherface in Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The «Dark tales of the Dirty Granny» combine live acoustic music, puppet theatre, dance and animation projection with deep influences from Tim Barton and The Residents as well as  Manos Chadjidakis, David BowieBlack Metal and progressive psychedelic rock. This performance includes amazing contemporary dance choreography, which incorporates puppets and costumes often reminiscent of Japanese Gothic Theater.
