The Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece, in the framework of international relations developed with foreign artists associations in order to promote cultural exchange and familiarize Greek artists with art in other countries, has signed a cooperation protocol with the Shanghai Artists Association (China). In this context, two significant exhibitions have been held, one with artists from Greece in Shanghai (following an open call and selections by EETE’s elected Evaluation Committee), and another exhibition of visual artists from Shanghai in Greece in 2014. With this second exhibition of artworks from Shanghai, the public will have the chance to get acquainted with artists with great cultural tradition and enjoy international artworks.

This project is titled “Creating the World – Literary and Artistic works on Chinese Creation Myths” and combines numerous works on the origin of the Chinese civilization and through it, the Shanghai Artists association presents fascinating stories of heroes in the time of chaos, and helps visitors admire the immortal spirits and vitality of Chinese mythical ancestors. The comics consist of over thirty works. Both renowned artists devoted to comics and vigorous young and middle-aged specialists all over China have contributed to the work.

We hope that this series of over thirty works on Chinese Creation Myths will form one of the heights of contemporary comic creation.
