The composer Michalis Koumbios will be presenting pieces from his oeuvre, at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation on Friday 20 May, at 21:00. Ιnstrumental pieces and songs that are widely loved, extracts from music he wrote for international documentaries, dance performances and video art installations, all revolving around the poetic phrase by Alkis Alkaiou, On the Breath of Spring (Pare me ths Anoixhs Pnoh). Michalis Koumbios reinvents certain codes and incorporates them into an exuberant show of variety and metamorphosis. In this way this eclectic performance comes to offer us a characteristic example of the work of the Greek composer who, from a more mature phase now, continues to win over audiences worldwide as his participation in international collections of wide popularity continuously multiplies.
