The documentary “In the nest of time”, with 70′ duration, is a self-funded independent production. It has been created in an atmosphere of creative cooperation, solidarity, professional diligence and inspiration. The production included many travels in Macedonia and Thrace, Attica, southern Peloponnese and Cyclades which were realised in a long time period and during all the seasons of the years.

In spite of the problematic times, we managed to complete our film in a proper and high technical and aesthetic result.
We believe that the emergence of such efforts will attract the audience of Greek Cinema and will encourage our colleagues in the difficult path of independent production.

Few words about the film: “In the nest of time”
In Greece, within a period of fifteen years, the identity of development clashed violently against another identity. That of crisis: financial, sociological, environmental crisis. Today, a system of desires that have been proven false is collapsing. The society, confused and perhaps frightened, seeks to give an identity to desire and true value.

Throughout these years, a documentary series by the former ERT (Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation) followed and recorded the activity of citizens who suggested and took themselves an alternative path towards development.

The “In the Nest of Time” documentary presents the journey, the actions, the motives for the choice in their life, their small and great moments, while they, older by fifteen years now, answer the question what real life and true desire is. What is the benefit and what is their relationship with Poverty and Wealth respectively? How did they interpret and allocate their day-to-day time? What are the consequences of the time shelter that they have gradually built?
The viewer shall see all these taking place within the rich ecosystems of Greece and the local communities struggling to eventually redefine development and real life.
