“Sophie, the little wise hen” | Based on the folk tale “The Little Red Hen”
Rich in entertaining games of the imagination, of inspiration and creation!
Sophie, the little wise hen is based on an old fairytale, probably from Russia. Though, one of its most famous editions, is from the year 1940, in United States in a children book series entitled: Little Golden Books. Based on the plot, the hen finds some grain seeds but instead of eating them, she chooses to plant them. With this decision she invested on her future.
In each stage of the working habits that follow the sowing, meaning the harvest, the thrashing, the milling of the grain to flour, the kneading and baking of bread, the little wise hen asks for the help of her friends, but they deny it. They come to help, only when they catch the delightful smell of her warm bread! Will she accept to share it with them? Come and let’s decide together! Discovering among other values, the value of working and cooperation, through a series of fantasy, inspiration and creation activities! But most importantly, after we sow, reap… thrash and knead in company with Sophie!
