“The Golden Streamers” is yet another special story by Eugene Trivizas, full of magical images, mystical music, adventure and fairytale-like dreams! In the company of the heroine of the tale, Nita Koupounita, “The Golden Streamers” transports us to the colourful  land of Mardi Gras,  where the king of the Carnival reigns!  Rix Maskarix with his hundred secrets and a thousand festive faces to be enjoyed with the tens of new masquerader friends:  The most lively of games and bounciest of dances… but, above all, the dance of joy and of being carefree!!
 
During the narration, the audience – be they younger or older – will join in the singing and dancing and playing of games, using an array of carnival games and accessories, thus bringing to life the most entertaining carnival story ever written! Get ready for: The dance of the humungous scissors, the lampsy-loumpsy dance, the hidden-treasure game, the splash dance, the Plaff-Plaaaaaaaff game and much more! Hang out with Pierrot and Columbine,  with the Chinese and  the Spaniards, clowns and puppets, penguins with rattles…. but mainly, with Nita Koupounita and the King of Carnival, Rix Maskarix!!!

Marilena Kavada has completed diploma studies in Dance, Greek Culture and in Training and Education of Preschool aged children (National & Kapodistrian University of Athens). Her postgraduate title refers to “information and communication technologies in education” (National & Kapodistrian University of Athens).  For the last twenty years she has trained in Greece and abroad whilst working as: a nursery teacher in a private school, a dance teacher in dance schools and as a choreographer for children’s theatrical productions.
 
Since 2007 she has cooperated with the Art & Culture Centre of the Municipality of Amaroussion, creating original programmes for children whilst, as of 2008, she founded and now coordinates the Artistic-Educational Group “Magic Shell” (“Magiko Kohili”) (www.magiko-kohili.gr). 
 
She has also overseen the production of ten children’s CDs and designed educational packages and theme parks for various science departments whilst also regularly participating as a speaker in domestic and international conferences and seminars for teachers and artists. Finally, her written works include more than fifty articles for top educational magazines and almost twenty books for children and for teachers.
 
Her most recent fairytale entitled “To krifto ths xaras” is availably by DIAPLOUS publishing, illustrated by Lida Varvarousi. The CD, which accompanies the book, contains songs sung by Pantelis Thalassinos and George Bagiokis, lyrics by Marilena Kavada and music by Nikos G. Papadogiorgou. Also on the CD parents and teachers will find a rich variety of educational material for the home or for school… covering language, mathematics, the environment, new technologies, creativity and expression.
