The universality of Arthur Rimbaud’s way of thinking – freedom – cannot exist without strength –a necessary component. This strength that comes from within is presented in the play, quoting parts of Rimbaud’s poems while also citing pasts from his literature work and reminding us that poetry does not cut off life from art, but on the contrary it is through poetry that these two cross due to the necessity that they coexist.

«Charlville» is a new theatrical social play. It takes place in the French coun-tryside near the end of the 19th century. With Arthur Rimbaud as a point of reference, we tell a story that balances between reality and myth, as it can happen in a person’s mind as well. A story of love and soul strength.
