KROISOI – Stand-Up Comedy by Stefanos Laopodis

The comedy “KROISOI” describes the everyday life of Greeks in Greece and abroad as it is shaped by the socio-hysterical conditions during the era of meta-metapolitefsi (years of Greek Crisis).

Particular emphasis is given on how the perennial Greek psyche is affected both by the international economic climate as well as by the wonderful politico-economic administration of Greece during the last decades. The comedy entertains with grace and elegance, focusing on a shady historical moment squeezed between a glorious past and a brilliant future.

Stefanos Laopodis was born in Athens and studied in Greece and Britain. Equipped with a phantasmagoric caleidoscope of employment and personal experiences that led him inevitably to comedy, Stefanos played in theatre, cinema and TV as well as he wrote and performed his very own Stand-Up Comedy shows both in Greece and Britain.
