“1955 – CYPRIOT ANGELS” – a recital dedicated to the Cypriot heroes with the soprano Vivianna Giannaki

The Greek Cypriot vocalist Vivianna Giannaki, the Cypriot traditional vocalist and researcher of the Cypriot traditional music Christos Sikkis together with the Cypriot actor Neophytos Neophytou, unite their power in order to create a recital dedicated to the Cypriot heroes revolted against the English occupation on April 1st of 1955.

THE POETS AND WARRIORS WHO GUIDE CYPRUS FROM ABOVE.
THE ONES WHO LIVE AMONG US AND ENLIGHTEN THE GROUNG WHEREON THEY STAND.
THE HEARTS WHICH OVERFLOW WITH WORSHIP FOR THE ISLAND.

The recital includes traditional medieval songs in the original Cypriot dialect, songs of later historical eras a Capella , with piano, traditional instruments together with Cypriot poetry and testimonies of the Cypriot heroes revolted against the English occupation
