Mea Culpa. The theatrical play of Konstantinos Rodis based on a true story and the harsh reality of social exclusion experienced by a family in their effort to grow and support a member with special mental needs.

Zoe grows her son Stavros in early ’70s, who was born with intellectual developmental disorders, without any social support or special education.

A lot of problems, both from the side of the family and friends and the side of society. But she keeps up on growing her son against all the negative predictions.

Her husband Prokopis tries to help her in his own way. On the opposite side, her elder son Aris and society. Her sister Mary tries to Keep Zoe and Stavros in a balance. Zoe and Stavros face cruel reality in a city and a country “unable” to accept people with intellectual developmental disorders.

It’s a multi- performance which mix and blend theatre, cinema and video art fully integrated in the project activity, while the original musical themes performed live on stage by Michalis Avramidis the composer (piano).

Most of the costumes are handmade designed by Mary Anastasiou, dating from 60s, 70s and 80s, while part of the stage objects belong to Fashionart Lover Collection. The same titled audio book is designed by Natasa Bozini, based on standards of the international platform «Design for all» (Designing for all), supporting all the citizens’ accessibility in arts and culture.
