Odos Panos publishing company and Michael Cacoyannis Foundation cordially host the presentation of the book by Kostas Kaldaras, entitled “The Traveler’s Shadow” on Thursday, December 12th, at 19:00, at the Cinema Hall of the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.
“The Traveler’s Shadow” is the first writing attempt by the composer Kostas Kaldaras and pertains to his journey to cities of Europe and Northern Africa.
It is a quest of self-understanding and miscellaneous emotions which are described with sarcasm and humor.
It is the travelers short life who leaves behind him, on the cities’ paved roads his shadow, getting in return experiences, images, colors, tastes, life. For 10.000 lonely kilometers on the roads and with 7 ships, love travels and the journey falls in love.
As the writer himself highlights, “Every departure, every journey is an abduction of our own self. Chased by the police of routine, we demand ransom in little banknotes of happiness. Delivery point, some unknown address in the future”.
The book presentation is accompanied by narrations of experiences, extracts, as well as music pieces from the lands which the traveler has passed by.
Keynote Speeches for the book will be addressed by: the poet and publisher Giorgos Chronas as well as the writer himself, Kostas Kaldaras.
In the part of narrator-traveler the journalist and writer Minas Vintiadis.
The music pieces of the “journey” are edited by Heracles Vavatsikas.
Stamatis Kraounakis participates in an extraordinary performance.
