He has travelled and performed as a stand up comedian in front of audiences around the world! He is known internationally for his many roles in films, TV and commercials. He is larger than life in more ways than one. He is Angelo Tsarouchas, Award-winning performer and Stand Up Comedian.
Angelo’s last one hour stand up special, Bigger is Better, premiered on Showtime and was a huge success, having been seen by 14,000.000 viewers. He has shared tales of his Greek culture and heritage on many stages around the globe such as Sydney’s Comedy Festival, UK Paramount Comedy Festival, South African Comedy Festival and Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival. He has participated as a special guest on Russell Peters World Tour and Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show.
In the world of movies, Angelo has appeared in blockbusters including The Score, The Recruit, The Prince and me, Harold and Kumar go to the White Castle, and Cinderella man to name a few. Recently he was nominated and won the Award for the Best Leading Actor in LGFF (London Greek Film Festival) for his role in Steve Skrovan’s film “Fred and Vinnie”. For the same role, he was nominated for the Best Actor’s Award in Canadian Comedy Awards.
The Greek-Canadian Comedian was born in Montreal, Canada and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA but his heart very much belongs to Greece. Angelo’s family hails from Sparta so getting to finally perform in his parent’s homeland is a dream come true. He is thrilled, excited and looking forward to his Stand Up Comedy special at MCF’s Theatre, on Sunday 24th of November at 21:00.
Angelo Tsarouchas’ journey to one-day come back to Greece to perform a Comedy special is something that has been in the making for many many years so it’s fitting that it will all be documented on film in the autobiographical documentary “Back to Sparta”. The film will be directed by George Tsioutsioulas and produced by Cordileone Productions and ThatGuy Productions.
