Book Presentation: “Dimitris Potamitis: 30 years from the dream of a theatre-Mystic” & Documentary Screening by Christos Prosilis (Ideopoios)
Interviews that are taken from Christos Prosilis’ documentary “Ideopoios” (2001-2002) concerning Dimitris Potamitis and his Theatrical Stage (Theatro tis Ereunas) will be projected.
The documentary “Ideopoios” was digitally shot and it uses elements of video-art in order to record the personal and artistic views of Dimitris Potamitis, a few months before his death. The documentary is a portrait of Potamitis philosophy towards art and life, his theatrical approach and his way of thinking about theatre and poetry.
The filming of the documentary is situated during the period 2001-2002, right before and after Potamitis decision to retire and close his historic theatrical stage. The camera simply and directly tapes his personal confessions by permeating his personal space like a friend. “Ideopoios” had its premiere in Kalamata (October 2002), during the 5th Kalamata International Documentary Film Festival.
