Besides, the most important thing is to share

“I am sharing” is a unique exhibition by three “art lovers” seeking through their art the signs of our times. The exhibition is based on an idea by Eri Stai and during this journey she has been accompanied by Kostas Pitsios (photographer) and Aliki Kritseli (psychologist-phychotherapist). They share with their viewers their pieces of art, but mostly they share emotions of love and solidarity at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation’s. For only two days, in the middle of Christmas period, Friday 21 and Saturday 22 December 2012.

Eri Stai notes: The idea of “sharing” was born in May 2012, while I was noticing around me the emotional void that was created by the lack of solidarity. More specifically, I noticed that tomorrow’s uncertainty turns money into the only personal goal, instead of uniting us in order to create and share. We forget ideas such as observation and real love. We are sacrificing our ethical values on the survival altar.

At the exhibition, objects of art will be exhibited and the three artists are going to communicate their messages and credos through expression and love. The exhibits can be exchanged with a beloved object owned by each concerned person. In parallel, the person will confess the meaning of his offer and the way in which each piece of art reflects on his/her inner world.

Eri Stai
Starting out my life in Ano Petralona being a “restless spirit”, completing Economic Studies I was employed in various sectors,I was led to non-spatial paths of artistic inspiration and creativity.

In 2007 we launched Friendship Storieswith the idea of reviving intimate moments and memories on “everyday use objects”. Over time my artistic spirit was represented by the creation of jewelryseeing as I felt the need to speak out through my creations and my beliefs, with no boundaries, no rules, no do’s and don’ts…
My source of inspiration?

Apart from headline news, vital source of creativity are my walks in downtown Athens, as well as my rides with the Metro; while people pass by I see in mind’s eye their “frosting”.

So, don’t be surprised if you bump into me in one of my wanderings and I am staring at you with a “Mona Lisa” smile..!
