Kazantzakis Publications and Michael Cacoyannis Foundation present a festivity of commemoration and honor concerning the 55 years since Nikos Kazantzakis’ death, with the title “The Child honors Nikos Kazantzakis”. Saturday 8th December 2012, at 18:30, (Theatre Hall).

Nikos Kazantzakis has left to children a vast and important consignment: his Speech, his ultimate way of writing and his ideas -all that can function as leaders in a child’s life for the future.
During the festivity, the music band “KARMA” participates with songs from their new album. The songs are inspired by Nikos Kazantzakis’ “Ascetic”. Giorgos Skordalos – cretan lyre and Dionisis Kotsakis – voice are participating as well. The Children’s Choir conducted by Spyros Lambrou will perform, while kids will sing a song devoted to Nikos Kazantzakis.

During the performance passages of the works “Ascetic” and “Report to Greco” are going to be narrated by Elisavet Karatzoli, Nikos Apiranthitis, Thanos Lamprou, Nikos Plios, Giorgos Mallios. Hosting the little kids Giorgos Mallios and Vasia Stamoulou.

The concert will be followed by the screening of Michael Cacoyannis’ awarded film: “Zorba the Greek”, a film that was based on Nikos Kazantzakis’ novel “Alexis Zorbas”.
