Synopsis: Apostolos Mavrothalassitis is a four times Greek champion in paragliding. In January 2009, he goes to Mexico for the World Championship. On the last day of racing, whilst airborne, a fellow pilot falls accidentally onto his parachute and tears it apart. Apostolos falls from a height of 3000 meters and survives against all odds. A touching, hopeful story, that celebrates the power of human spirit and the will to live.

Synopsis: Angelos, photographer for a nature magazine, arrives in a remote village in Epirus to do a story. The inhabitants of the village are guarded towards him. And things get worse when he finds out that a wild beast, a bear, roams the surrounding woods and has already killed one person. As Angelos wanders in the woods he doesn’t discover the bear but things that maybe he shouldn’t have.

Best Concept for Fiction Feature 2010:
“A Tell Tale Yard” (90′)

Synopsis: Faidon, a young employee in a bookstore, gets married. The new couple rents a nice little house with a garden, owned by a sweet old lady, in the suburbs of Athens. They dream of starting there their own family. They soon realize that the pregnancy on which they are “working” shows no signs and Faidon becomes very anxious. In his despair, he takes the advice of an Indian colleague in the bookstore, who suggests an old Indian spell:  plant a big coco tree in his yard! Faidon digs a big hole for the  tree. The next day he finds a dead body near the hole and the police starts suspecting him. When some days later Faidon also discovers a skeleton in his yard, he loses control. He is obliged to accept the consequences which make him realize that life has its own astonishing path.
