Il Bacio di Leonora/ Le Baiser de Leonore – Opera awarded with Prix BCN Culture 2010, a work by Yves Senn

With over 25 years of experience and proven expertise through the implementation of numerous performances, the company L’ avant-scène opéra proposes a new opera: Il Bacio di Leonora / Le Baiser de Léonore, libretto and music by Yves Senn. The project will be presented on Wednesday 18 & Thursday 19 July 2012, at 21:00 in the Theatre Hall of Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.

A group of people, a microcosm – image of the society, concentrates in a desert place to search for Leonora’s Kiss. The story recounts the forced meeting of people coming from very different horizons. Values, references, aspirations, routes: Each of the team’s members, defends a different reason of existence and this creates a live dialogue of passions, hatred, attainable and unattainable loves, desires, conflicts.

With a casting that counts thirty performers in total, solo singers, dancers and actors, a 7musicain orchestra, with ten technicians and the logistical and administrative support of ten additional persons, L’avant-scène opéra has begun its rehearsals since November 2011 at the Colombier Theatre (Switzerland), the company’s headquarters.

The project Il Bacio di Leonora / Le Baiser de Léonore, reflects with the “double” bilingual title the diversity that it runs it: Diversity of the species, style, characters, languages, emotions..

The company L’avant-scène opéra with its proposal for 2011 – 12 serves two goals that are important to him: first to unite different types of performing arts (music, theatre, dance) and second to create a project that deals with human through his/her feelings.
