Michael Cacoyannis Foundation
The Michael Cacoyannis Foundation and the Spanish Embassy have the pleasure to present the live concert of the renown Spanish band Fuel Fandango in Athens.
The band, formed in 2009 is composed by Ale Acosta, producer and DJ, who surprised us with his former band “Mojo Project” in which he published 3 records. We also have to highlight his productions, mixes and remixes to artists such as Enrique Morente, Buika, Chambao, Muchachito, El Bicho and The Pinker Tones, among others. He has two nominations to the Spanish Music Awards 08 and he also has a nomination as “Producer of the year” in the Latin Grammy’s 08.
The other half of Fuel Fandango is Nita, a young singer but with a lot of experience due to the fact that she started to sing when she was really young. Back then she used to sing “copla” and “flamenco” which led to what she is doing now: soul, fun, and electronic music.
They both defined their music as: “organic dance songs”. Nita, the frontwoman, changes from Spanish to English, naturally, the same way she changes from soul to flamenco, and that’s because flamenco can be sung in any language, or at least, thats what the band thinks.
From 2009 Fuel Fandango has performed repeatdly in Spain (Seville, Cordoba, Malaga, etc) as well as in international festivals such us Couvre Feu Festival (France), Kiev indoor sports (Ucrania), Les Transmusicales in Renne (France) and the Eurosonic Festival in Groningen (Holland).
