Solidity [Performance] by George Kouvaras
The elements of confinement and restriction which exist in the film Bad Guy is the occasion to stage an audiovisual performance entitled Solidity. Based on a music sound design a partially still image is shaped attempting to illustrate enhanced meanings and symbolisms in condition of psychological pressure. The erotic element of the film is abstracted and what remains is an act of multiplying the internal intense in a pursuit of the indifferent sight! A soprano performer restricted in the space and a round of Poker! compose the set.

Conversation for three (Ilias Kotzias)
This describes a trio. The violin is the woman who is flirting with two men: the left and the right hand on the piano. The men claim her but she always has the upper hand, giving hope to them alternately, but she retains her integrity.
Trilogy (Nadina Tziatziou)
3 parts, titles of the parts: being in love – love – passion.
The 1st is a medium tempo with alterations, the 2nd in a slow style and the 3rd part is a tango.
The piece is composed in cinema style. It refers to erotic – romantic cinema scenes, but not to some specific film. It describes the emotional relationship in both its forms: from the point of love, but also the tension that the passion of being in love creates.
Sonata No.2 (Christos Samaras)
A sonata of tripartite form. It combines diametrically contradictory factors: the dynamics of passion and the self-control of the logic processing of emotions.
Concert preceding the film “Wings of Desire” by Wim Wenders
After 360 degrees by George Kouvaras
The electro acoustic sound poem After 360 degrees is the first part of a work of longer duration which comes and is based on the music dance project Three mountains not to climb.[Which is in progress] with the company Synthesis 748. In after 360 degrees the orchestration is based on human voice and on its sound treatment. On this musical material digital sounds which come from audio treatment and original electronic sounds are introduced. Conceptually and theoretical ”cells” for the composition of the piece were the meaning of excess mostly in psychological level and my effort for the processing and format of the meaning of limits. The composition of these elements as a desire and the structure as a conscious action gave a format result unexpected, fierce, original and at last tragic. I propose this as an invitation for our entering to a modern tragic arena which is not else than this magical movie.
Utopia of the moment (2012) by Anna Mouzakis for flute/bass flute, clarinet/bass clarinet and tape.
Wim Wenders film Wings of Desire inspires a small musical composition, articulated in six parts. The angels are the conscience, but the natural world is reserved for the human kind. The emancipation of the instruments, the effects, the dissonance, the noise are in harmony with the world. The monologues of the instruments create in their lack of harmonic rhythm a feeling of spaciousness and reflect senses and sentiments. In the end, the angels change sides and their denial of eternal life releases an immense energy which is unleashed in a fast improvisation. This noisy silence restores utopia as mans newly found homeland, from which he cannot be banished, and where, through the powers motivated by hope, man re-experiences his freedom.
Wings of desire by Nathalie Mavrakis (Work in three parts)
First part – <Damiel>, solo flute
In this part, the flute expresses angel Damiel’s thoughts as well as his longing to feel everything a human being feels.
Second part – <Whispers>, flute, clarinet and mandolin
In this part, the clarinet represents the thoughts of all human beings that Damiel listens to as an angel. Towards the end of the second part the mandolin is introduced which expresses Marion’s, the protagonist’s of the play, thoughts.
Third part – <Damiel the human>, flute, clarinet and mandolin
The flute, clarinet and mandolin describe the world and the feelings that Damiel experiences as a human being now, ready to love and acquire wings again, but this time the wings of human love.
