Ivana Chubbuck meets Greek actors

In the line of Act and Re- Act: Master Classes which is a new initiative on the fields of Education and Arts, the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation will host Master Classes by internationally acknowledged professionals with expertise mainly in USA cinema industry, either training great leading actors, or producing themselves successful artistic work, initiating in December with the Master Class by Ivana Chubbuck.

The greatest, probably, acting tutor in Hollywood is coming in Athens for a unique lecture on the method most of contemporary cinema stars work with.

Having worked with actors like Halle Berry, for the performance in Monster Ball that awarded her with the Oscar, as well as Brad Pit, Kate Hudson, James Franco, Jake Gyllenhaal, Elizabeth Shue, Charlize Theron, Jon Voight, Jim Carrey, Eva Mendes and many more, founder of the Ivanna Chubbuck Studio, she will talk about her technique – The Ivanna Chubbuck Technique (Lee Strasberg, Miesner) as well as the way she trained the above mentioned and more actors for the victory of the Academy Award.

Moreover, she will answer to all questions addressed by actors and directors who will have the opportunity to attend the lecture – seminar.

Eventually she will implement her technique with those actors who will have a monologue worked up, or a scene from any play they desire. However, in order to participate in the Master Class you just need a notebook and a pencil.

Ivana works one-on-one with more than 100 of Hollywood’s Premiere stars, directors and writer/producers. Ivana has also been a guest master teacher at the Juilliard School of Drama in New York, teaching a selected group of premiere fourth year students. She has also taught workshops around the world, including: Australia, Denmark, the Netherlands, London, Israel, Canada etc.

Ivana Chubbuck was honoured by the Russian International Film Festival (she is of Russian decent) with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the film industry alongside Leonardo Dicaprio, William Friedkin, and Francis Ford Coppola.
