“Lemonia” by Nevma Theater
The white, like snow flour joined with the clear water, is molded by the human hands, takes something from their warmth, their liveness and caring, and transforms these two components into sweet bread. Lemonia, having as her only friend the dough that she has just prepared, she creates with it a dynamic environment inside which she feels safe to remember, to laugh, to get angry or dream ..But most of all, inside this environment she realizes the beauty of life that can be found in any age at any time.
Lemonia has already been presented at the 15th Festival Internazionale Teatro di Figura in Pinerolo, (Italy) in June 2009, the 12th International Puppet and Pantomime Festival in Kilkis (Greece), in September 2010 and at the 1st International Street Theater Festival in Athens, (October 2009), as well as other parts of Greece (Kos, Volos, Larissa, Thessaloniki, Amorgos and Donousa)
The theatrical group Nevma Theater was founded in September 2004 in Thessaloniki. The aim of the group is to explore and enrich the theatrical act through the combination of different forms of art. Furthermore, the group develops and promotes the research of creative educational approaches. Since its foundation, Nevma Theater has given theatre performances and organizing educational programs for children all over Greece and abroad. The combination of puppets, mime and object theater is the research area of the team the last year and the inspiration for every new performance.
