THE LABORS OF HERCULES

THE LABORS OF HERCULES

A new production, from a fresh point of view.
Each year my colleagues and I have endless discussions about which will be our next performances. This year we decided to let the children decide.  We created a game where we asked them to vote for the story they liked most, having given them three titles to choose from.  The children were delighted to take part and voted for:  THE LABOURS OF HERCULES.

Our approach is to be both dreamy yet precise, in accordance with what has been written about Hercules and his life so that the children may form a correct image of him, this hero of heroes, who , along with his labors, has remained throughout history, the most well-known and loved hero of mankind.

Through the performance the children will have the opportunity to witness:
>the birth of the hero
>his life
>his labors
>the founding of the Olympic Games (Pindar / Lysias)
>his death
>finally his ascent to Olympus where he is to live amongst the twelve gods as an equal.

Of course all of this as a result of well-documented study of the boundless sources of our mythology.
