“Take a perfect circle, caress it and you’ll have a vicious circle” inspired by works of Ionesco | Direction- Dramaturgy: Dimitris Athanasiou

Through the insanity of our times, overshadowed by the economic crisis and backgrounded  with Greece’s position in Europe, the play “Take a perfect circle, caress it and you’ll have a vicious circle” that take place in Michael Cacoyannis Foundation attempts to present a modern aspect of Ionesco’s works. Inspired by “The Lesson” and “The Chairs” four actors bring forth on stage the “absurd” of an economic management model that fails. As well as the fears and anxieties of a generation of Greeks having to face the consequences of this very collapsing model. A cry of agony that ends in a heartbreaking and muffled laughter.

From the 17th of June and only for ten performances at the specially designated underground stage of Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.
