The well-known songwriter, Panos Gourgiotis, will travel from Brussels to Athens for a one-off performance at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, prompted by the release of his new album in Greece, “Behind the rain” (“Piso apo tis Vroxes”). On Tuesday 17th February 2015, at 21:00, Athenian audiences will have the opportunity to witness a unique musical event! The Greek songwriter with his distinctive voice, Panos Gourgiotis, who, for the last number of years has been living and working in Brussels, will be travelling to Athens for a one-off concert at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, to coincide with the release of his new album entitled “Behind the rain” (“Piso apo tis Vroxes”). With him on stage we will also have the opportunity to enjoy beloved artists such as Laurentis Machairitsas, Manolis Famellos, Despina Olympiou, Komis X, and Elisavet Karatzoli who were also involved in the new album.

The first positive reactions to Panos Gourgiotis’ new songs came with the success of the presentation of the album “Behind the rain” (“Piso apo tis Vroxes”), on the 6th of March 2014 at the Music Village in Brussels. The songs themselves are proof of Panos’ artistic maturation and musical evolution whilst his sources of inspiration move beyond the much-used “signs of the times”, at last turning the page for music of this genre.
