Workshop on movement, acting and character composition in the art of acting based on system Laban by Dr Kiki Selioni

Workshop on movement, drama and character composition
 in the art of acting
based on system Laban
 by Dr Kiki Selioni.

Based on the analysis of motion by R. Laban (known as Laban Studies in Universities and Schools abroad) the system aims at a systematic knowledge of the movement of the actor. In this way the actors improve and develop their physical skills as well as the tools for synthesizing the characters in the art of acting. At the seminar will be taught the basic principles of the theoretical and practical level.
The seminar is based on the doctoral dissertation of the doctor Kiki Selioni. This dissertation was elaborated at the Central School of Speech and Drama University of London and refers to the method of Laban and the teaching of this method to the actors. The innovative methodology proposes a complete education of the body of the actor and the composition of the role.
For the first time, it is used as theoretical support of the method of Laban, the Aristotelian philosophy through the analysis of Stelios Ramfos, as presented in his work ” Imitation against Form ”.
The seminar is aimed at actors and students of Drama Schools in practical application, while as observers/ auditors have the opportunity to participate directors, acting teachers, theater studies experts, choreographers, movement directors / instructors.
