Music and texts throughout Anatolia unfold on the Open House restaurant’s stage, on the 3rd floor of the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.

In Istanbul of the various cultures, in cosmopolitan Smyrna, but also in Syria and Lebanon, meet up sounds and words, Greek, Armenian, Arabic, Turkish, creating a big company where all good fit.
Texts of the life and works of the Greeks and other ethnicities of the region are performed by Panos Skouroliakos. Stories about lad, beautiful women, cheats and gamblers, masters and slaves, historical events and details of everyday life. A journey to places familiar and unknown, with songs that unite cultures, human joy and sorrow. A performance in a passed time that is at the same time the present of all these places and people.

Theodosia, Haig, Areti and Nick share songs in different languages composing a charming and harmonious musical mosaic.

The performance “Light rain in Galata”, is hosted on the open air space of the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, on the 3rd floor, just under the Attica starry sky, and it is going to be performed every Monday and Tuesday from June 2nd to July 1st 2014 (apart from Monday 9/6 & Tuesday 10/6), at nine o’clock in the evening. The performance is directed by Panos Skouroliakos, the artistic direction belongs to Penelope Syrogianni, while music selection belongs to the singers of the performance.
