A puppet theater performance based on the film “Children of Heaven”

Two young siblings, one boy and one girl, suddenly face a problem when the boy accidentally loses his sister’s shoes, as he was bringing them back from the shoemaker. The finance of their family doesn’t allow them to purchase a new pair of shoes and the children know that very well. They decide to deal with the problem on their own and share the shoes of the boy to go to school. This temporary situation creates new problems among the two children.
A sensitive story starring two kids who manage through cooperation and love to win with dignity the fight of their life.
GROUP BIOGRAPHY:
The puppet theater group “Ta ftera tou mythou” (The wings of myth) has founded in 1996 from Spyros Papachristou.
Its basic objects are:
Study and research in older and contemporary means of expression of the puppet. The spread and evolution of the art of puppetry, with performances, laboratories, seminars and lectures. The presentation of shows, as a result of searching and experimentation for a new form and movement of the puppets, into the contemporary theatrical writing.
Since 1999 we are performing for children and adults in theaters, schools,cultural organizations and international puppet festivals. We have collaborated with many directors, actors, musicians, writers, educationalists, light and sound designers.
