The Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Moschato-Tavros establishes it’s Cinema Club with screenings of extraordinary Films, activities, theory seminars aiming to introduce the techniques as well as the aesthetics of the film industry, presenting short films and documentaries, thematic tributes, as well as tributes dedicated to great directors.

The opening of the Cinema Club by the Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Moschato-Tavros will take place on Wednesday, November 27th at 21:00, at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation with the film “The Cherry Orchard” by Michael Cacoyannis, as homage to a great creator of 7th Art, and as a result of our successful collaboration with the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.

Screenings will take place with admission free of charge.

SUMMARY
Madame Ranevskaya is a spoiled aging aristocratic lady, who returns from a trip to Paris to face the loss of her magnificent Cherry Orchard estate after a default on the mortgage. In denial, she continues living in the past, deluding herself and her family, while the beautiful cherry trees are being axed down by the re-possessor Lopakhin, her former serf, who has his own agenda.
