The choice to become an artist demands courage. The artist is always a peaceful rebel against every system. His revolution is personal and has to do with his own beliefs. Talent, technique, exercise are not enough in succeeding and fulfilling our goals and most of the artists fail because of their bad self management.
Our success is usually affected by our guilt, fear, anger and isolation and by phrases that haunt our childhood (“Don’t do that!”, “Be careful!”). The fear of failing lies beneath our actions and we decide to stay to what we know. This system of behavioral management stigmatizes our artistic decision and expression.
My approach as a teacher and director is to detect these automatic behaviors, cancel them and turn them into creativity, inspiration and freedom -always in collaboration with the actor. Hence, the seminar is going to be organized in two axes: a) Work with the role and b) Work with ourselves.
My main goal is to inspire artists to take their careers in their own hands, discover their inner treasure and decide what they really want to do.
The seminar is addressed to actors, singers, directors and Drama School & Workshop students. After a private interview, people with no significant acting qualification will be accepted in order to join us in a special journey of self-improvement.
