“The Land of D-MOCRA$?” by Mike Petrakis

 Michael Cacoyannis Foundation hosts Mike Petrakis‘s installation project entitled “The Land of D-MOCRA$?’ with reference to the character and functions of the Democracy, by its birth till today. The artist stands critically against the democracy institution and placed on its expressions and contemporary aspects.

“The Land of D-MOCRA$?’/ The land of Demicracy with a remarkable variety of landscapes invite guests to an indulgent hearing in its history. The Guide – Narrator suggests visitors leave in the game of images that evoke the CONCEPTS – WORDS and enjoy the world that is built based on this fundamental principle of creation.

The artist and Director of the action in this report-Installation make a primary commentary and follow-up belongs to visitors who can participate in the exhibition, writing their own comment for the Democracy, complementing those of the two previous shows.

The installation project was presented at the Municipal Gallery of Corfu – Greece and the Greek Embassy in the Hague – The Netherlands, with great response and transferred to the MCF, where the artist will exhibit and some new creations with the same theme.
