The exhibition can be visited during the audience’s entrance, before the performances start
The exhibition 7th song (for Maldoror) has as start point and occasion the performance “lautréamont” maldoror: “Commendation of a Metamorphosis”. If the performance is a proposal to read the 6 songs of Maldoror, a text of unique value and importance, the exhibition is a hypothesis for the continuance of the work of the Comte of Lautréamont. In the case of that continuation, the lyrics are shaped through artistic gestures, intentions and decisions, which are realized through objects and images, works of important Greek and international artists.
The body and its image, the body and its absence, the image and its lack, are dipoles between which, the artworks are moving as intentions, acts and results. The exhibition exists as imaginary space of a real and magical transformation that usually remains unnoticed. The work of art, poetic text, sculpture, painting, object or sketch, is transformed every time that is presented and the spectator’s sight touches it. From an individual and personal artist’s state, slips into a version of reality that seems to exist in every single human as well as in all together collectively and simultaneously. This, the most mysterious transformation of the artistic creation will allow the development of two questions, the answer of which has greatest value as an ulterior truth: Who is Lautréamont and what does he want to be transformed into?
