WALKING AND FALLING – MASTER CLASS with Evdokimos Tsolakidis

The Hellenic Centre of the International Theatre Institute having launch a series of seminars – workshops of theatre practice is organizing this year Master class with the director Evdokimos Tsolakidis on October 13 & 14, 2012 titled Walking and Falling at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation (206 Piaeus str, 17778, Tavros) at Black Box hall.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn the process of acting of Evdokimos Tsolakidis which can apply to each role they call to interpret in theatre, television or cinema.

They will also take part in a performance lasting 45 minutes which will be prepared within three hours.

The seminar is open to actors and drama school graduates. (The number of participants should not exceed 15). They can also attend as listeners: actors, directors, teachers acting and directing, theatre, drama schools and students who have a lively interest in the performing arts.

(There is no limit to the number of listeners). Those wishing to participate should send CV with photo no later than Wednesday, October 10 at office@hellastheatre.gr. (Seats are limited and the seminar may be closed before date mentioned). Listeners can register until Friday, October 12 at 210 3303149 (weekdays 12.00 – 16.30).

Saturday 13/10, 16.00 – 18.00 Warm – Relaxation – Voice – Body
18.00 – 20.00 Method Acting – Improvisation
Sunday 14/10,   14.00 – 17.00 Preparation for the show
17.00 – 18.00 A rehearsal
18.00 – 19.00 B rehearsal
19.00 – 20.00 C rehearsal
20.30 – 21.15 Performance “Walking and Falling”
21.15 – 21.45 Discussion – Exercise Farewell

All participants must have with them a photocopy of a monologue of their choice from the world repertoire, classic or modern, lines 10-15 which they should have memorized. You should also bring a note pad, a pen, wearing loose clothing and be prepared to work barefoot or with socks.

For the show should wear white pants (girls white pants or a white skirt), white t-shirt or a white shirt and should bring a small bottle of water.

Performance: Sunday, 14 October 20.30

Cost to participate:
Participants: 80 € / Listeners: 60 €
For members of the Hellenic Centre of ITI: Participants 60 € / Listeners: 40 €
For the performance is free entrance.
