SOME PARADISE 2 (A show under development) Written and directed by Vanna Pefani

The performances of the play "Some Paradise 2", which had its opening night on Monday 10 September at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, are postponed due to an accident of the writer and leading actress, Vanna Pefani, that forces her because of orthopedic problem to stay bedridden for a month. 

Soon will be announced the date of the performances' restart.

Our play takes place in jail where the confined for umpteen time, Genet, attempts to bring a book to fruition. Heroes leap out from his imagination, take shape, live their own life as outcasts; they hate as well as adore their creator. Writer’s reality and imagination mix up that much, that you are unable to understand which is what. Genet’s world – more evergreen than ever before, now-becomes our world’s mirror.

Jean Genet becomes our guide as he beckons us into his world, into the margin of society, into all that hurt, terrify, attract and appall at the same time all of us. Our sole supports in this journey are the human values, which will emerge; our only refuge is our self; our only hope is realizing that in the end each and everyone enjoy the paradise that they deserve.

The show premiered in Patra, Greece, on March 2012 entitled Some Paradise. A new, revised version will premier at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation in September 10th 2012, entitled Some Paradise 2.
