“The Overweening lord and the golden nutshells” by the puppet-theatre team Kokou-Mouklo

Once upon a time there was an overweening lord who wanted to become a King – to gain the Great Crown- but he had no good character. He used to be always in depressed mood and he used to have miserable face, oppressing his people… Since his meanness had no limit, every now and then he used to go to the village demanding from the poor countrymen to give him all their possessions.

At his palace, he had crammed into the storerooms goods and provisions that he bereaved from his people, but he didn’t care at all.

“The magic walnut tree and the golden nutshells would make him a King”

However a little girl changes his plans and in the end the Queen instead of the Great Crown gives him a good lesson.

A performance which combines the puppet-theatre with the children’s theatre
