Six stories on the common subject of the HIV virus are composed creating brainstorming around the disease of our century, AIDS

5 directors in a composition of stories with truths and lies for Aids

The stories: “DISCOURSE” / “ROOM 0″/ “THE MISTAKE” / “WAITING ROOM” / “SINCE YOU KNOW ME” / “POSITIVE?” / “SAiD”

Five interviews with HIV infected persons and experts for HIV virus, who share their experiences, their opinions as well as their positions for the big and crucial issue of AIDS, These persons have been interviewed in the framework of the segmented, feature film, completion, entitled as “Positive Stories” creating the six-minute scene of the opening titles.

The valuable material of those interviews have created, apart from the 133-minute length film “Positive Stories” the documentary entitled “Discourse on HIV”.

The “Discourse on HIV” is going to be screened at the Video Room of the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation daily from November 25th to December 1st 2011 at 18:30 & 21:00

Contributed the NGOs: “Positive Voice”, “Kentro Zois”, “Praksis”

The film has participated in the 51st Thessaloniki International Film Festival and the 13th Patras International Festival of Cinema & Culture, in which the film won “Special Recognition for the original monitoring of an extremely important issue”.

Along with the film, a short film (17′) will be screened by Kyriakos Chatzimichailidis entitled “Men do not cry” (on relative subject, functioning supplementary to the feature film “Positive Stories”).

At the Video Room of Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, daily, during the whole week of the film screenings, the complete interviews on the subject of HIV virus will be screened from 18:30 in the evenings, under the general title “Discourse on HIV”, with running time of 133 minutes. (Screening time: 18:30 and 21:00)

During the whole week of the film screenings the three NGOs (“Positive Voice”, “Kentro Zois”, “Praksis”) which have contributed to the completion of the project, will organize parallel events at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation having as peak the open discussion which is going to follow the film screening in December 1st 2011, the World Aids Day.
