Artist’s Biography
Since childhood Revati has had a passion for painting – a talent encouraged by her parents. Having studied Art in Mumbai at the Sir JJ School of Art and the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, she has held many successful exhibitions around the world – all over India, London – UK, and Jeddah – Saudi Arabia.
Her Works are owned by many private collectors, amongst them the Sultan of Brunei, Air India, and many leading Indian industrialists and Foreign Embassies. She paints mainly in oils, acrylics and soft pastels; all of which allow for spontaneity and have a different impact visually. From horses to landscapes, flowers to colorful human figures, the subject matter is as diverse as it is vibrant. Horses in motion are best captured by the use of large canvasses , providing a three-dimensional symphony of power, strength and movement. This is balanced by the calm and serenity of her landscapes and still -life – reflecting the artist’s inner peace, tranquility and closeness to nature. Added to this is the human genre, portrayed by the rich use of colors depicting local scenes.
