THE COURSE

A common subject for Fotoroman is assigned to students from the very beginning as well as another one for a silent short film.

1. Director’s definition, his part as well as his work during the different production stages (from the script to the theatres) as well as his partners.

2. Fundamental principles of the film language structure. Decoupage, Reperage and storyboard practicing. Shooting scenes , sizes, camera positions, cam, camera movement, scenes pattern, editing, rakor, secans notion.

3. Actors and acting. Exercises and improvisations. Tutorship.

4. Fotoroman (students training themselves).

5. Shooting preparation (break-down), stages and shooting material processing. Basic partners and parts.

6. Shooting process for a film without dialogues. Exercises (“the bench” etc.)

7. Fiction feature film and Documentary film (characteristics). Specificities analysis. Films in which fiction integrated into reality.

8. Dialogue visual analysis.

9. Shooting with detonator and cam into the dialogue parts of two or more persons.

10. Sound and music parts in directing.

11. Short demonstrative scene by every student as well as mistakes analysis.

12. Screenplay narrative styles and the scenes kinds in a script.

16. Direction – shooting combination

17. Direction – post production (editing – sound design) combination

18. Short silent film of 3min. (students practice themselves)
