Pequod – «From fifty-fifty to love»

How can a non theatrical text become a play? How can the life of a Greek immigrant in Germany become the story of our country, the life of any given man irrespective of origin, in today’s world. «Fifty-fifty», this story of transition from one-night stands to true love and the wisdom of self awareness that comes with it, from the Pequod team.

John Kalavrianos – «Easter»
Athens, in the 70s. The Junta is in all its might and the Greek Easter looks like a compulsory tradition. The play is essentially a speed choreography, since it features only two actors. The dramatic invention of the play lies in the fact that all characters of the same sex are played by one actor and never crossed. That means that the female actress plays all the female characters and the male actor all the male ones, bringing a mind numbing speed to the whole venture.

Vassilis Mavrogeorgiou – «Hamlet»
The group started working on «Hamlet» under the direction of Vassilis Mavrogeorgiou last year as a workshop project. Drawing on the structure of the plays acts and each characters objectives, the scenes sprung out of the rehearsals reinforced by improvisation.

Blitz – «Galaxy»
The «Galaxy» performance composes a universe of characters and situations, references and influences through a constant role shift among the actors. The script was written during rehearsals from all the cast based on an idea of the group. The principal notion lies on a simple game, a plain mechanism that builds momentum over time through repetition.
