“Moments of Love” & “The little mouse who wanted to play accordion”

A meeting point for puppets and humans where alternate shows by various puppet theater workshops offer to the Athens’ adult audiences as well as the children ones, the chance of coming in close contact with this unique art form of animation and dream realities.
The Greek Centre of the International Union of Puppetry Arts, in collaboration with the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, present: ‘Puppet Evenings’ from 11th February until the 25th March 2010, every Thursday, 8pm at the “Black Box” Hall of MCF, 206 Peiraios st, Tavros, Athens.

1st Performance (Moments of Love):

A concert with extraordinary characters. The Brazilian dancer of Samba, Miss Maruka, Mr.  Dupi, the big Rock Star who is looking for his lady in the audience. A music performance based on comedy turns. A game in which puppets and audience are involved. Puppets come alive in actors’ hands and “touch” the spectator’s feelings in a magic way.

2nd Performance “The little mouse who wanted to play accordion”

A crazy performance for children as well as adults!

Musicians, singers and divas perform walking all around in mincing steps flooding the stage of a concert hall with expertise. The owner as well as proud manager of the hall is Mr. Alaloupis. The soloists are, Mr. Miaourlis, a male cat, who is a virtuoso guitar and trumpet player, as well as Miss Miou, a famous pianist. These two “cannot tolerate each other but cannot live apart as well.”

Our Puppeteer, as a musician as well, wants to participate in that huge concert hall – if not in size, certainly in fame. It is the bureaucracy and filthy Bibis ‘the little mouse- that block the progress of his career”.
