Weekends at MCF with childrens program and organized school visits following communication

Michael Cacoyannis Foundation presents a rich, interesting and instructive program for children as well as for organized school visits.


On Saturdays in the afternoon you can watch:

  • The Bewitched Green by Kyriaki Doxara, a puppet-theatre performance by Skala Theatre.

In December and in January, on Saturdays at 17.00, Skala theatre following the previous years success will present the play The Bewitched Green for the current theatrical season as well. High technology- and real size children puppets, a live set and much more, on a performance of ecological content.

On Sunday mornings:

  • Sundays with puppet theatre in cooperation with Unima Hellas.

Every Sunday from November 13th until January the 8th at 11.30, the Hellenic Department of Union International de la MArionnette (Unima Hellas) presents in the MCF a program of puppetry performances. Different kind of puppets, music, narration, up to date technology and a new theatre troupe revives on its own way a new story every week.

  • Lotinos Helios presents a theatrical family play, The Greatest Treasure of the World

In November and December, every Sunday at 12.00, the Lotinos Helios theatre company presents a multi show for children and adults. The performance deals with contemporary topics, introduced to the audience in a fabulous way, full of imagination, laughter, rhythm and liveliness. Values like courage, selfless offer, collaboration, acceptance of dissimilarities and forgiveness are some of the morals transmitted to the audience.

  • Oral narration program for children with the storyteller Sasa Voulgari, Images are passing before my eyes

Every Sunday at 12.30, from October 16th until March, the psycho pedagogue Sasa Voulgari introduces a new oral narration program for children. Having as her main tools the language, the voice, simple but yet imaginative set props, makeshift musical instruments, unfolds traditional as well as original stories on a specific subject every month.

In the line of social awareness of Michael Cacoyannis Foundation and in cooperation with the artists taking part, in every performance of tail narration, The Greatest Treasure of the World and The Bewitched Green, 10 free tickets will be available for unemployed parents, while for the performance series “Sundays with puppet theatre in cooperation with Unima Hellas”, 5 free tickets will be available (for unemployed parents who demonstrate their unemployment card and accompany up to two children).


PERFORMANCES FOR ORGANIZED SCHOOL VISITS

Preschool age kids as well as primary and secondary school pupils have the possibility to watch performances following communication with the theatre companies.
