Announcement – New Board of Directors

The Michael Cacoyannis Foundations Board of Directors, after Michael Cacoyannis death, came together on Friday 29th July 2011 and took the following decisions.

-After its President and Founders death, the Board of Directors unanimously approved the following resolution:

Beyond his standing as a leading, worldwide, artist, as a great Cypriot and Greek, Michael Cacoyannis has been to us a beloved friend or relative, the principle, the soul and the guiding of the Foundations course. We, the Board of Directors, and his foundation, express our deep sorrow for his death and our determination, as a daily honor in his memory, that the foundation will continue in the path that he showed us and the one he would want, to becoming an entity for arts as well as a meeting point for arts and society, which will always have its doors open and will always be full of action and life.

-Yannoulla Cacoyanni – Wakefield gave, with a plea to be published, her warm thanks to Xenia Kaldara, head of the Foundations everyday operation, as well as to all associates and employees for their offer to the Foundation and for their support not only to Michael Cacoyannis -until the end of his life-, but also to his family relatives.

-The Board elected as a new member, in the vacant seat, Georgios Minoudis and restructured as following:

Mrs Kaldara continues as head for the Foundations everyday operation, under the title of Director General.
