If Pericles had not existed we probably wouldnt be here today, the Polish Prime Minister said before the plenary session of European Parliament presenting Polands priorities for the EU presidency semester.

We often talk about Greece, and for the majority of peoples in Europe, Greece is identified just with the bad fiscal administration, Donald Tusk said, highlighting however that, as far as the case of Greece is concerned, we should not seek after scapegoats.

Greece has taught many things to Europe and Greece, to me, means Pericles, who firstly instructed the necessity of solidarity in regards of problems solution, he mentioned.

Presenting his countrys priorities for the EU presidency during the current semester, the Polish Prime Minister summarized them into the triptych security solidarity prosperity, clarifying that European Union should focus primarily on the assurance of European citizens security, through its external boundaries control, as well as with respect to human rights.
