Don Quixote, also known as Alonso Quixanos, is alone for the first time. The continuous disputation with Sancho Panza is not there. Sick and tired by his embarrassing adventures, Don Quixote hates his creator while being all alone and ill. He lives his last great moments that Cervantes kept concealed. As a wandering spirit, he comes to us in order to confess the lonely and secret scene of his death.
The performance is a 55-minute monologue that refers to the relation between humans and their ideals. It deals with the painful journey for the replacement of the personal myth with our simple self. Hence, the play is a subjective analysis of Don Quixote that gives a depth to the great novel by Cervantes.
The monologue was written by Iro Diamantouros after Nikos Kalamos request and it is going to be performed for the first time by him.
